Hausen wants to grow – inwards and outwards

On the one hand, the municipality has acquired land for 1.2 million euros in order to turn it into building land. Therefore she wants to have her flat utilization plan (FNP) from 2006 revised. Two professional bureaus presented themselves to the council for this reason.

On the other hand, hausen submitted two projects for the "inside instead of outside" program: the demolition of the old fire station building (costing around 90,000 euros) and a revitalization concept for the former krone inn. Several years ago, this was supposed to cost around 900,000 euros; the proposal now includes a sum of 3.75 million euros for the main building, hall and barn of the inn property. The demand level is at least 80 percent.

The two projects were submitted at the last minute by the administration. While the application program itself only had a deadline of four weeks, hausen’s attention was only drawn to it by the geoplan office during a tour of the town as part of the ISEK process at the end of june, and it had to prepare the application documents within 14 days, according to mayor gerd zimmer (SPD). Second mayor bernd ruppert (CSU) considers, according to the current figures, the own contribution of the municipality to be greater than at that time, as for the "crown" a demand was rejected by 50 to 60 percent.

The only thing missing to complete the application was the council’s decision to commit itself to the priority of inner development. Ruppert (CSU) warned: "the revision of the land use plan could be damaging for the future."

Martin heilmann (uwg) saw it as a two-step process: "if the need for housing is determined in the FNP and there is not enough interior space available, the municipality may also develop hoods." Building sites existed in the built-up area, but they were privately owned and the municipality could not exert any coercion.

"If not over this demand, then the crown is dead", gerlinde kraus (SPD) argued, which was rejected with protests from the council. "Say you do not want", reacted kraus. Roland garcon (uwg) conveyed that there was no either-or, but a commitment to "restrained urban development".

Nine council members voted for the self-commitment, three against it. Five other council members did not attend the meeting.

Another major project of the municipality is the renovation of the community center. Here, too, two specialist offices applied for the project management with a presentation in the council. It is currently undecided what the community liked: only one" small" renovation without changing functions, a more extensive renovation with adaptation of functions or even, because it is ultimately cheaper, a new building. This is what a feasibility study could determine. For this, hausen had to spend around 50,000 euros before it could go deeper into the process.

On the homepage of the ISEK process, which hausen is conducting jointly with heroldsbach, the municipal council is explicitly listed among the negative points raised in a citizen survey. This is what roland garcon found out. The mayor refused to remove the cars as requested. This is not an individual opinion, but the result of the evaluation of the questionnaires, especially the last "open question", which the respondents could fill in with their own texts. "What are the consequences for the council?", asked katja steinbrenner to the colleague circle.
